June 10th
Now as some of you may have noticed, AnimeBelle has been loading slowly the last few days. Well, another user of iRev.net, AnimeBelle's provider, decided to post some Star Wars Galaxies music videos to his website. That would be all fine and dandy, except his site alone started moving ten gigabytes of traffic per day. Per day! Normally, iRev.net as a whole moves ten gigabytes a day! Now, iRev is moving roughly a gigabyte an hour. Couple this with over 230,000 e-mails going in and out every day, and hard drives that don't like us, you've got one slow server.
Oh, it gets better. He kept hitting up the mySQL server with those websites of his that are moving ten gigs per day... But luckily, Bashrateg, friend of iRev, tweaked the mySQL a bit and things are running much more smoothly. And just so you know, I don't understand a lot of this paragraph either. I'm mostly just rephrasing what iRev's admin, Presence, told me. This may shock you, but as the sole creator of this website, I don't even know HTML. God bless Microsoft Frontpage. In any case, now that things are back up to speed, y'all come on back now, y'hear?

June 5th
I return with some very sad news, which I only learned of this just a few hours ago. Mr. Michael Buonauro passed away on May 28th. Those of you who did not have the privilege of knowing him personally may recognize him as half of the WrenchFarm.com Team, and the talented writer of Marvelous Bob, at UnknownHero.com. While I only met Mr. Buonauro briefly at FITcon, many of my friends were very close to him, and I wish that I had known him better. Michael, we'll miss you.
