Several pages of more photos have been uploaded! I'll be going out of town for a few days soon, and I won't be able to update the site while I'm gone, so I am trying to get all of the photos up before I go. ...It probably won't happen, but it's important to have goals! In any case, while I won't be making updates on the front page, I'll still be checking in on the forums fairly often to make sure nothing's caught fire and our resident lurkers aren't running amok. You know who you are. In any case, y'all keep comin' back now, y'hear?

Okay, so it came a day behind schedule! But only by four hours! The interview with Brett Weaver has been transcribed and posted. Just click on the Features button in the lower left to give it a good read. The JACON photos still aren't finished, so y'all keep on checkin back now, ya hear?

Hundreds of photos have been uploaded, but we're still not done yet! There were a lot of characters I couldn't identify, so any assistance would be much appreciated. You don't need to e-mail me; just post a comment on the photo, letting us know who it is, and you'll be credited. The forums have also gotten numerous new signups since JACON... Welcome, to all of our new folks! Also, Select Start has been added to our links section. The interview with Brett Weaver will be uploaded tomorrow. Lots of stuff going on, so y'all come on back soon now, y'hear?

I made a post on the 20th, about going to JACON... then forgot to upload it. Not one of my brightest moves.
Oh yes, JACON... it was just... Wow. I had a blast! My hat- er, bonnet goes off to the great staff who kept the con running smoothly. The art room was even better than ever... poor placement was always a gripe of mine in the past, but that was fixed this year. A huge thanks to Brett Weaver, George Lowe, Doug Smith, Samantha Harte, Anime Sushi, and Select Start. I have to keep myself from going on and on... Just keep your eyes peeled for Ma Belle's con report coming soon. Oh, and speaking of Select Start... I hadn't even heard they'd be playing until Saturday night! I had seen them previously at Anime Express VII, and at JACON 2004 they put on an even better show. If this band keeps improving in leaps and bounds, then the Dear Friends: Music of Final Fantasy concert may have to move over in a few years! Be sure to check out Select Start's website here.
I know many of you have come looking for photos. Ma Belle and I took 498 photos this weekend! Naturally, not all can be uploaded (inside joke photos, blurry ones, etc), but we will still have hundreds to upload very soon. There will also be a great interview with Brett Weaver, the voice actor of Carrot, Gai Daigouji, and Nabeshin. So y'all come back soon now, y'hear?

Well, the website had a little outage for a while. What many folks don't know is that while the site itself is about anime in the southeast, the server that this site is hosted on is based out of Las Vegas. Rising temperatures and not enough air-conditioning in the desert in question resulted in computers going wonky, and the website dying for a while.
But as you can see, AnimeBelle is back! Better than ever, too! Well, not a huge improvement to the entire site, but the AMVs section has had a much-needed update. The "Dancing Fool" and "Learning to Fly" videos have been re-encoded and now are much smaller files, which means less of an impact on the site's bandwidth, and faster for you to download those files. In addition, two more videos have been added; "Short People" and "I'm With You". Be sure to check them out! Y'all come on back now, y'hear?
