November 27th
Wow, it's been a while! Ma Belle and I just returned from our trip to the panhandle, and as per tradition, at least one of our computers malfunctioned when we turned it back on after being gone for more than a week. But after a long day of travel and kicking Ma's computer, we can finally rest... But we can't rest too long! While we were out of town, we attended AnimeSouth and got to meet a lot of awesome anime fans who don't get to attend the conventions we normally frequent. We've returned with a lot of photos, including many taken on Sandestin beach, which made for a gorgeous backdrop. Look for those coming soon!
Oh, and if you're one of those folks we met at AnimeSouth, make sure you sign up on our forums! And don't forget to post a thread on the Introductions board so that we can all get to know you better. Y'all come on back soon now, y'hear?

November 17th
Well, we're off to AnimeSouth! This is a first-year convention in Destin, Florida, and Ma Belle and I will not only be attending, but also hosting a panel. If you're going to be visiting AnimeSouth, be sure to check out the AMV Panel on Sunday morning. We've got a three-hour block in the Coral Room in which we'll be showing AMVs, discussing music video creation, answering questions, and more. Also, if you had planned to enter an AMV in their contest (which has sadly been canceled), bring it to the panel and we'll try our best to show it! See y'all there, and y'all come on back now, y'hear?

November 5th
There are some good things about being a night-owl! At around 3:30am this morning, Presence (one of the fine folks running the server AnimeBelle is hosted on) showed up in the AnimeBelle chat room to inform us what an amazing month October had been for our website! AnimeBelle.com managed to move a whopping 35gb of transfer in October alone, with 30,000 visitors and 317,000 page views! And only four days into November we'd already served 5,000 visitors over 40,000 pages! On top of that, the AWA11 photo gallery has passed 1,700 hits. We want to be sure to thank everyone who visits the site and contributes by leaving comments in the galleries, talking on our forums, and donating via that cute little PayPal button on the right side of the screen.

One of the things that amazes me the most is that from November 03 through October 04, we only moved 46gig... And yet this year it only took a month to move 35gig! As we're only a couple of months away from the site's third birthday, I want to thank everyone again... And here's hoping for more years of serving the southern anime community! Y'all keep comin' on back now, y'hear?
